Bashir Hajiyev

Bashir Gudrat oghlu Hajiyev was born in 1979 in Baku.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Philology at the Azerbaijan University of Languages in 2000 and completed his master’s degree at the Faculty of Linguistics of the same institution in 2004.
In 2007, he graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Credit of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
Until 2021, he pursued a professional career in the private sector, primarily in the tourism industry, and served for many years as a member of the Board of the Azerbaijan Tourism Association. He began his career at the boutique hotel “Ichari Shahar,” later assuming managerial roles in the hotel and resort sector for over a decade.
Throughout his professional activity, Bashir Hajiyev managed a number of hospitality establishments, including “Ichari Shahar,” “Hale Kai Hotel,” “Balion Hotel,” “Chirag Plaza Hotel,” “Sea Breeze Resort,” and “Caspian Sea Resort.” He is also the founder of “Balion Group.”
In 2021, he commenced service at the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the districts of Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand. Earlier this year, he was appointed Chief Adviser at the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the liberated territories included in the Karabakh Economic Region (with the exception of the Shusha district).
In 2010, he was elected a member of the Board of the Azerbaijan Tourism Association and subsequently served as Deputy Chair of the “Tourism” Commission operating under the Azerbaijan Employers Confederation (ASK).
By Presidential Decree No. 182 dated 1 July 2024, Bashir Gudrat oghlu Hajiyev was appointed Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kalbajar district.
