Born on February 12, 1970, in Bilav village, Ordubad district.
He graduated from secondary school in 1986 and completed his studies at the Faculty of Physics, Baku State University, in 1992.
From 1988 to 1989, he served in the military.
Between 1992-1995, he was a full-time Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Physics, Baku State University.

Since 1996, he has been working at the Baku State Commodity Science and Commerce Institute, and since 2000 at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
At the same time, since 1993, he initially worked as a research associate at the “Solid State Electronics” Research Laboratory under the Department of Physical Electronics at Baku State University. From 2006 to 2016, he worked as a research scientist at the “Semiconductor Physics” Department of the Institute for Physical Problems at Baku State University.
In 1998, he defended his PhD (Candidate of Sciences) dissertation on the topic “Electronic Properties of Dysprosium-Doped Gallium Selenide Single Crystals,” earning the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. In 2014, he defended his doctoral dissertation on “The Effect of Drift Barriers on Electronic Phenomena in Layered Semiconductor Crystals of AIIIBVI Monoselenides,” earning the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Physics.
According to the relevant decisions of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in 2004 and Professor in 2019.
From 2011 to 2020, he headed the “Physics and Chemistry” Department at UNEC, and from 2020 to 2024, he led the “Engineering and Applied Sciences” Department at UNEC.
Since 2024, he has been serving as Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
By the order of the Rector of UNEC dated March 29, 2019 (No. 188/3/2019), he is the Scientific Director of the “Composite Materials” Research Center.
He is a member of the Scientific Council of UNEC.
From 2017 to 2023, he was a member of the Expert Council on Physics and Astronomy of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 2024-2025, he served as the Chairman of the Expert Council.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 24, 2020, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics and for his contributions to the development of education in Azerbaijan, he was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Teacher.”
In accordance with sub-clauses 4.1.8 and 5.5.10 of the “Regulation on the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” approved by Presidential Decree No. 2242 dated July 24, 2023, he was awarded the badge “Advanced Education Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan” (by the Order of the Minister of Science and Education dated July 8, 2025, No. 3-29/3-1-892K/2025).
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 24, 2020, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics and for his contributions to the development of education in Azerbaijan, he was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Teacher.”

He is also a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals, including the journals “Scientific Works” and “Teaching Physics, Mathematics and Informatics” of the Azerbaijan Technical University, which are included in the list of recognized academic publications approved by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Additionally, he serves on the editorial boards of “Computer Science” and “Food and Health”, as well as international scientific and scientific-technical journals published in the Russian Federation, including Neftegazovoye Delo (indexed in RINC).
