She was born in the city of Baku into a civil servant’s family.
In 1957, she was admitted to Secondary School No. 190 in Baku and graduated from the same institution in 1967.
Between 1967 and 1971, she pursued her studies at the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after D. Bunyadzade (currently Azerbaijan State University of Economics), at the Faculty of Economics and Planning of the National Economy.
Upon graduating from the institute in 1971, she was admitted to the full-time postgraduate (aspirantura) program (with release from production duties).

Since 1975, she has been engaged in professional activity and, until 1988, worked at the Department of Labour Economics and Organization, holding various positions including senior laboratory assistant, postgraduate researcher, hourly-paid instructor, and lecturer.
Since 1988, following the establishment of the Department of Economic Management, she has served as a lecturer, and from 1991 onwards, at the same department, subsequently renamed the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, she has held the position of senior lecturer.
Since 1995, she has held the academic title of Associate Professor at the Department of Management.
In 1990, she completed advanced training courses at the Institute of Management of the National Economy under the Council of Ministers of the Azerbaijan SSR, and in 1999, she undertook further professional development at the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Pedagogical Personnel of Azerbaijan.
She also participated in a short-term training organized by the Gender Studies Center of Western University within the framework of the project on the methodology of integrating gender principles into the teaching of humanities and social sciences, and was awarded a certificate for the course “Gender Aspects in Economic Theory.”
Over the years, she has held a number of responsible academic and administrative positions, including Scientific Secretary of the Scientific Economic Society, Executive Secretary of the Expert Commission of the Planning-Economics Faculty, Scientific Secretary of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Informatics and Management, and subsequently Deputy Dean for Educational Affairs of the same faculty.
From 2005 to 2014, she served as Dean of the Preparatory Faculty at Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
She is the Secretary of the Competition Commission established for the appointment of heads of departments and deans at the University.
At the same time, she serves as Deputy Chair of the University Trade Union Committee.
She is a member of the Scientific-Methodological Council on Management under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Council of Elders of the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration, and the International Women’s Club.
Since April 2014, she has been appointed Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

She has been awarded the “Azerbaijani Woman of the 20th Century” commemorative medal, the Honorary Diploma of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, the badge “Distinguished Education Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” and, by decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the “Taraggi” medal.
In 2017, she was conferred the honorary title of “Honored Teacher.”
She has also served as a mandated delegate to the 12th Congress of Azerbaijani Teachers and the 2nd Congress of Azerbaijani Women.

She is married and has two children.
