The Aziz Sancar Food Safety Laboratory was established according to the Decision of the UNEC Scientific Council meeting dated May 21, 2018.
The laboratory was inaugurated on December 6, 2021 at UNEC by Professor Aziz Sancar, Nobel Prize laureate in chemistry. Equipped with modern technologies and equipment, the laboratory operates under the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
The laboratory conducts scientific and practical research, studies and examinations in accordance with the training and curriculum for undergraduate and graduate students with a professional young researcher and teaching staff, and technical chemical control of plant and animal food products according to the relevant quality standards, as well as their safety.
