General Provisions
1. The Department is a structural unit of the Economic Research Scientific Research Institute (ERSRI) operating under the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and is subordinate to the Rector of the University and the management of the Institute.
2. In its activities, the Department is guided by the legislation and regulatory documents of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the internal regulations of the University, orders and directives of the management, and decisions of the Academic Council, and carries out its work on the basis of the Institute’s work plans and assignments of the management.
Functions of the Department
• Ensuring the timely and duly performance of research activities in accordance with the approved research plan;
• Coordinating research activities conducted by other organizations within the Republic in the fields of economic sociology and related disciplines concerning the economic and sociological aspects of development issues in the non-oil sectors of the economy;
• Provision of consulting services in the areas of project design, examination, and evaluation related to the resolution of international, national, and regional socio-economic, scientific-technological, and other issues.
